My Neighbors Trees
How did I start the year 2022? January 1st, I went back to George Street, Palmerston North, and painted another bollard.
My 4th Bollard
This bollard is about the Cyprus trees my neighbors have which I can see from my bedroom window everyday.
These trees always fascinate me. I see these trees from my room whenever I look outside to think. They have become an anchor point to my memories that I reflect on when in my room.
When I see my neighbors trees, I look up to see them point them towards the endless sky. This bollard: when you stand over it, you are looking down for the same effect, to see the points of the trees point down towards the endless sky.
Telling my Neighbors about this Bollard:
4 days later, I visited my neighbors for the first time with the intention to tell them I painted a bollard about their trees and to introduce myself properly for the first time to them. It was a marvelous interaction! Lovely neighbors. They gave me some eggs from their chickens when I left.
Same evening, I used the first of their eggs that they had given me to make them a cake as seen below:
The cake I made for my neighbors, using the eggs that they gifted me from their own chickens, after I had visited them to tell them about the bollard I painted about their trees.
